Friday Night Poetry
I'm always in awe of ancient Chinese poets but they were just as human as we are. Po Chu-I was a great poet, but he was always looking at things from unexpected angles. In fact, sometimes, he could be a bit of a wise guy, with a wink.
The Philosopher: Lao-Tzu
"Those who speak know nothing:
Those who know are silent."
Those words, I am told,
Were spoken by Lau-tzu.
If we are to believe that Lau-tzu
Was himself one who knew,
How comes it that he wrote a book
Of five thousand words?
